The Department of Fine Arts offers a four twelvemonth Available Degree in Fine Arts. Many graduates of the Section of Fine Arts at the NCA have constitute fame and recognition in Islamic republic of pakistan and internationally .

The Department of Fine Arts is the foremost programme for artistic and intellectual discourse and activity in the country. It involves leading professionals to contribute through their education/ presence and provides liberty/venue to students for developing into successful artistic individuals with contained aesthetic choices. It aims that students should have academic skill, analytical power and vision to create works of art. Information technology trains students, at the end of their grade, in becoming practitioners with meaningful understanding of tradition and information of gimmicky.

To accomplish this, the Department of Fine Arts offers a range of courses, which include studio and theory. Divided into Majors of four different disciplines: Painting, Printmaking & Digital Media, Sculpture and Miniature Painting; along with Studio Cartoon, Studio Electives, and Fine art Seminar.

Each student of Fine Arts, in the 2nd Year is introduced to all four Major subjects, before choosing i to pursue in 3rd and quaternary years. During this period, Studio Cartoon and Fine Fine art Seminar contribute towards developing an private approach.

The Department of Fine Arts, in accordance to the vision of NCA, facilitates students to enrol in Elective Courses, offered by the Department as well equally from other departments of the institution. Recognizing the need for a multi-disciplinary instruction, the programme is structured to encourage exposure and experience across a student's selected class of studies/Major Subject.

PAINTING

The Painting course introduces students to a diversity of media, including oil, acrylic, water colour, mixmedia and tempera. Students are encouraged to articulate their pictorial ideas on a multifariousness of surfaces employing a range of techniques and mediums.

PRINT MAKING
& DIGITAL MEDIA

The Printmaking & Digital Media Plan combines both traditional and contemporary processes of Printmaking by suing different methods of printing, unremarkably on paper, but also on cloth, wood, metal and other surfaces, working with special tools, presses and acid.

This programme encourages use of traditional techniques alongside new ways of looking at the constantly changing globe of our electronic digital age. All intaglio techniques of drypoint, carving, engraving, photoetching and aquatint, every bit well every bit planographic techniques of offset and direct method lithography, relief press processes like woodcut and linocut, silkscreen and digital printmaking are tough. Digital Media refers to images created digitally on paper and other surfaces, using a wide variety of computer software.

The creative opportunity offered by this program is hugely various and heady, allowing the students to cull and combine the techniques that best suit them.

MINIATURE
PAINTING

In this course, students are taught the skills and traditional techniques of miniature painting. They are encouraged to develop an awareness and sensibility of gimmicky practices of this art form. They learn the making of wasli (traditional paper), handmade brushes, and training of colours. The employ of the traditional along with the contemporary approaches expand the vision and equip with technical possibilities.

SCULPTURE

Sculpture as a medium has moved from making iii dimensional objects to installations, videos, nontangible materials accessed through the sense of touch, gustatory modality, sound and light. The multi dimensionality of this process links with technology and materials which are traditional every bit well every bit gimmicky. Students are encourage to explore materials and techniques available in their surrounding and then they can experiment with broad range of ideas, images and techniques and open upwards new frontiers of expression.
